Bio

The author of seven books and co-author of two more, Wayne L. Staley is a systems analyst and planning consultant specialising in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Supply-Chain Management (SCM), Lean Process Improvement strategies, systems assessment, and software selection and installation.
Wayne’s consulting company Affinity Systems LLC has managed numerous Business Strategy, Enterprise Resource Planning, and process improvement projects in manufacturing, government, distribution, and convention management.
An Army veteran and military Operating Room Technician, Wayne was also an Emergency Room and X-Ray Technician in civilian institutions.
Educated in computer technology, business systems, materials, logistics, and manufacturing operations, Wayne has attended numerous IBM systems analysis and programming classes, and is certified in TQM (Total Quality Management).
Wayne has served on a technical school curriculum committee, and has been actively involved as a frequent presenter, certification instructior, and chapter board member of APICS (American PRoduction and Inventory Control Society) a professional association for supply chain management.
Wayne has managed Corporate Information Services for a multi-plant, national manufacturing organization, developing information and shop floor operating systems, working as a programmer, analyst, and promoted to CIO (Chief Information Officer).
Wayne has experience as both Plant and Corporate Material Manager working on integrated supply chain programs with China-based suppliers, and on customer collaboration programs with companies such as Dow Chemical. He is NAFTA certified and headed a study group defining ways to improve the competitive advantage at Mexican facilities.
Wayne has shop floor experience as MSO (Management Services Officer) for a complex fabrication organization with approximately 300 employees. It included machining (both manual and CNC), metal workings, foundry (and related ERP issues), aluminum die-casting and injection.
Wayne was chairman of the board for a Governmental Information Processing center, and a member of a study commission for streamlining government functions.
Wayne has developed training materials for ERP, Supply-Chain Management, Strategy, and Process Improvement.
Wayne lives in Rothschild, Wisconsin with his wife Natalie. His most recent book is A Little Boy Asked – Why? The Search For Answers, which chronicles the decline of the American Dream, and offers a prescription for restoring optimism to America’s future.
